At Elmo’s we always strive to give outstanding service and food!  We often get compliments on our staff, so we decided that this month we would hold an essay contest to help us celebrate some of the wonderful people who work for us!

We would like to hear from you via our website about a staff member who has gone above and beyond or has made your day in some special way! 

Authors of winning essays will not only win $100, $50 or $25 gift certificates to Elmo’s for themselves, but they will also win the same value prizes for the staff member that is recognized.

Please limit essays to one page and you can submit them in person (but please make sure you hand them to a manager) or through our website www.elmosdiner.com. 

MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE THE STAFF MEMBER NAME IN ESSAY!  YOU CAN RECOGNIZE OUR COOKS/HOSTS AS WELL—JUST ASK YOUR SERVER FOR THEIR NAME!  SERVER NAMES ARE ON CHECKS. (Though they are always warmed by words of praise, Managers and Assistant Managers are excluded from this contest.)

Essays must be submitted by Tuesday, Nov 30, 2010 for Durham Contest and by Friday, Dec 31 for the Carrboro Contest.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND A PHONE NUMBER OR E-MAIL ADDRESS SO YOU CAN CLAIM YOUR PRIZE! Also, both Carrboro and Durham stores are participating so make sure you go through the correct “Contact” on the website and also include the store in your essay.

(Naturally, you are excluded from writing about your close family relatives and friends.)
