It is that time of year, when many of our student employees go out into the big world and leave us behind. We are presently hiring hosts in both the Carrboro and Durham stores. Positions require weekend availability and the ability to work through until at least the fall of this year. The best time to either pick up or drop off an application at either store is between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Elmo’s Diner-Carrboro will be hosting another blood drive on Tuesday, May 4th from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. The mobile blood drive bus will be in the small parking lot beside Elmo’s Diner-Carrboro. We will also be hosting our First Tuesday event that day so you can double your giving power by donating blood and having a healthy meal. Ten percent of the day’s sales go to support the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation and Scroggs Elementary. The blood drive does accept walk-ins, but it is quicker for you to make an appointment. Tomorrow is First Tuesday for Elmo’s Diner in Carrboro. This means 10% of the entire day’s sales will go to benefit the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation and Carrboro Elementary. Please dine with us tomorrow or grab some to-go food and help them out!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday, March 23. You helped the Carrboro store raise $430.10 for Table which fills weekend back packs for children in need. Durham folks helped Communities in Schools raise $630.25 for their programs for children in the Durham school system. Great job everyone!
