Elmo’s Diner-Carrboro will be hosting another blood drive this Thursday, May 27th from 2:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

The blood drive does accept walk-ins, but it is quicker for you to make an appointment. Visit www.membersforlife.org/cbsr/schedule and click on search by sponsor code and enter 337 to schedule your appointment. You can also call the diner at 919-929-2909 and ask for Cindy McMahan or leave a message and she will return you call to set up an appointment.

Just in case you are new to Elmo’s Diner and wondering if we are open on Mother’s Day, the answer is always yes! We still don’t take reservations that day or any other, but there is good news this year–Mother’s Day and Graduation for Duke are on different weekends!! This will make it much easier for those deserving Mom’s to get treated to breakfast!

For those of you who are big fans of Elmo’s Chilaquiles, we thought you would want to know that we are running them as a dinner special all this week (still at breakfast too, so don’t panic!). If you haven’t tried our Chilaquiles, here is a description below:

CHILAQUILES SPICY!
Corn tortillas mixed with a homemade sauce with cilantro, peppers, onions, and spices and then topped with scrambled eggs. Served with black beans and sour cream, and garnished with feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro. $6.00

Please join either the Carrboro Elmo’s or Durham Elmo’s tomorrow when we donate 10% of the day’s sales to our local public school systems. The Durham Elmo’s will be donating 10% of sales to Mangum Elementary PTA. Carrboro Elmo’s will be donating 10% of sales to Public School Foundation and Scroggs Elementary PTA.
